Commissioning a one-off design

Working within your own budget, Charlotte can provide sketches of several different designs or ideas, if required. The metals to be used, settings and stones are chosen. Dealing directly with specialist stone dealers in London, Charlotte is able to source any gemstone, in all shapes and sizes.

Charlotte can often arrange for a selection of stones to be sent within your price range and you may handpick your own.

Sometimes during the process of making a bespoke piece of jewellery it may be helpful to make a model of the design in Silver. This way, you can be sure that the styling and fit are exactly as you wish, before the final piece is completed.

All jewellery is presented beautifully boxed and a valuation for insurance purposes is available at no extra cost, on most commissions.

Your Meeting

At your meeting you may discuss any ideas you already have about design, or metals/stones you would like to use. Charlotte will show you her design portfolio, for inspiration, as well as samples that you may try on.

Charlotte may also sketch any ideas. As the design develops, the technical details, materials, labour required, and sizes are calculated, so that the work can be accurately priced.

If you decide to proceed with the order at this point, Charlotte will ask for a 50% deposit, and the balance is simply paid on the agreed delivery date. Depending on the time of year, delivery times average 4-8 weeks.
